Yardbird is a Southern-style restaurant that has locations in both Miami, Florida and Singapore. It was opened by Chef Jeff McInnis, who was a finalist on Top Chef, and two restaurateurs from Miami, John Kunkel and Chris Romero. The first location opened in South Beach in 2011. It was nominated for a James Beard Award and named “Best New Restaurant” by Bon Appétit. It was also acknowledged by Southern Living being among the best fried chicken restaurants in the South.
Yardbird Singapore Menu serves up American-style fried chicken, featuring classic fried chicken sandwiches and plates, wings, and sides. Everything is made from scratch daily, including their pickles and biscuits. They also have a great cocktail program with drinks specially designed for pairing with their food!
It is located in the center of Singapore City, so if you’re visiting from out of town or just want to grab something delicious for dinner tonight, this is a great place to go!

Yardbird’s Scallop and Chorizo Pasta is a wonderful balance of flavors. The pasta itself is made with bottarga, a rich fish product that’s similar to prosciutto, but more intensely flavored. The dish is balanced out by fresh arugula and mildly spicy balsamic chili oil.
But what really makes this dish stand out are the scallops! They’re just so tender and delicate—they practically melt in your mouth. And they’re perfectly cooked: just enough charring on the outside to add a bit of crunch! This dish is definitely worth trying if you’re looking for something different from your usual order.
Yardbird Lobster Mac and Cheese
I’m not a fan of mac and cheese. In general, I don’t like it. As a kid, my mom would make it for me and my brother, and we would eat it, but I never really enjoyed it.
But this Lobster mac and cheese changed everything.
I was told by a friend that I needed to try Yardbird’s lobster mac and cheese, so I did. So, the next thing I tried is this menu. It was one of the best things I have ever eaten. The sauce was rich, creamy, and flavorful—it had just the right amount of spice to give it an edge without overwhelming the dish.
The noodles were cooked perfectly: soft but not mushy, with just the right amount of chewiness to them—they didn’t lose their shape while still retaining their texture when they were cooked in the sauce. And then there was the lobster! It was tender and juicy with a subtle flavor that wasn’t overpowering at all; instead, it added another layer of complexity to an already perfect dish!
Overall, I would definitely recommend Yardbird’s Lobster Mac and Cheese to anyone who loves lobster mac or cheese!
