While I love to review food, I love to monitor food prices. Given how inflated food costs are, I still enjoy the happiness of eating. Besides writing for Cafehopping, I do blog about fun places to head to @SGDIRECTORY.

Ippudo Best Seller
Ippudo is a Japanese ramen chain with a menu that features a variety of toppings, noodles, and broth styles. It’s one of the most popular ramen chains globally, and it’s no wonder why: their food is delicious!
Here are some of our favorite items from their menu:
Ippudo Shiromaru Motoaji Ramen

There is a magical place called Hakata in a land far, far away. It’s a little city on the coast of Japan that’s known for its ramen—and we’re not just talking about any old bowl of noodles. Hakata-style ramen is the stuff of legends: creamy, rich, and unbelievably delicious.
Ippudo brought this legendary noodle soup to Singapore long before most people had even heard of it. Now you can get a taste of the real thing at any of their restaurants around the country. And if you’ve ever wondered what makes it so unique, well, it’s all in the broth.
They use pork bones boiled for 10 hours to make their signature tonkotsu broth—that alone is enough to get your mouth watering. But then they add some other ingredients that give it an extra kick: black fungus and fresh spring onions. It’s like a dream come true!
Ippudo Akamaru Shinaji Ramen

If you’re looking for a new ramen experience, look no further than the Ippudo Akamaru Shinaji Ramen.
This bowl features a creamy broth made from mushrooms, soy milk, and porcini mushroom oil. The umami is just incredible—you’ll be hooked at first slurp! The toppings are carefully selected to complement the broth: black fungus, spring onions, fragrant garlic oil, IPPUDO original spicy paste, and plant-based “chashu.”
This is a ramen experience like no other—it’s not even fair to call it ramen… it’s something else entirely.
Ippudo Pan Fried Gyoza

For a good reason, pan-fried gyoza is one of their most popular menu items! These little Japanese dumplings are made from 100% chicken meat, and they’re pan-fried to perfection. You’ll love how crispy they get on the outside while still keeping that juicy, tender chicken inside.
They come in a 5-piece serving, perfect for an appetizer or a snack when you’re at home or on the go. I recommend ordering them with some delicious dipping sauces like the salt-based tare sauce or soy sauce with sesame oil!
Ippudo Chicken Karaage

If you’re looking for a chicken dish that’s just as filling as delicious, look no further than their Ippudo Chicken Karaage.
Ippudo’s chicken karaage is a Japanese fried chicken dish served with a side of lemon and spicy sauce. Chicken karaage is made using boneless skinless chicken thighs marinated in soy sauce, sake, sugar, ginger, garlic, and pepper.
It is a flavorful dish with deep-fried chicken meat. In Japan, it’s famous street food. At Ippudo, you can enjoy this dish as an appetizer for your ramen or as a main course.
Ippudo Chahan

Ippudo Chahan is a popular Japanese dish consisting of rice and fried egg. Ippudo Chahan has been the signature dish of Ippudo since it was first served in 2008. The dish is named after the iconic Japanese dish “Chahan,” which means “fried rice.” The dish’s main ingredients are fried egg and rice, prepared using Ippudo’s proprietary recipe.
Ippudo Desserts
They’re bringing you a sweet taste of Japan!
Ippudo Desserts are here to satisfy your sweet tooth with their Matcha Tiramisu and Japanese Shio Pudding.

Their matcha tiramisu is the original Italian tiramisu with a twist: they dip their fluffy sponge cake in Japanese liquor and dust it with matcha powder. The result? A rich and creamy dessert that will make you feel like you’ve just taken a trip to Japan.

Their Japanese shio pudding, on the other hand, is soft, rich, and creamy—perfect for when you want something lighter than their matcha tiramisu.
So next time you’re craving an authentic Ippudo experience without leaving Singapore, stop by Ippudo to have desserts!
