Din Tai Fung Popular Menu 2023
Din Tai Fung is a Taiwanese restaurant that specializes in xiao long bao (aka soup dumplings). It has over 200 locations around the world, but what’s so special about Din Tai Fung? What makes it so popular? And why should you care?
To answer all your questions, we’ve compiled a list of its most popular menu items this 2023—so that you can try them at their restaurants!
Din Tai Fung Oriental Salad in Special Vinegar Dressing

A common chilled starting dish is Oriental Salad in Special Vinegar Vinaigrette, which features julienned seaweed, bean sprouts, spicy bean curd, and rice vermicelli lavishly tossed in a light, acidic dressing that has a scent reminiscent of sesame oil.
The Oriental Salad in Special Vinegar Dressing is made of a variety of ingredients that blend together to create an appetizing harmony of flavors. The seaweed and bean sprouts are crisp, but the spicy bean curd adds a creamy texture and depth of flavor that rounds out the dish perfectly.
The dressing is light and tangy and has just enough vinegar to create a lightly acidic background note without overpowering the rest of the ingredients. The sesame oil adds subtle richness to every bite without being heavy or greasy in texture like many other salad dressings can be.
This salad makes a great addition to any meal because it’s so versatile—you can serve it as an appetizer at dinner parties or pack it along with some fresh vegetables for lunch on weekends when you don’t feel like going out but still want something satisfyingly filling!
Din Tai Fung Fried Rice with Shrimps & Eggs

Singapore’s best fried rice has just been served.
At this restaurant, the fried rice is made with pearl rice, shrimps, eggs and spring onions. The ingredients are pared down to their most basic form, so you can taste the simple comfort of familiar flavors. Each plate is of a certain weight and minimal seasoning is used so that the natural fragrance of eggs and spring onions shines through.
The texture of this fried rice is smooth and soft – like silk – with each grain of rice having its own unique flavor. The shrimps are cooked just right as they are not too chewy or rubbery. In fact, you can taste the sweetness in every bite! As for the egg, it was fluffy and tasted like an omelet! The spring onions added another dimension of flavor together with the shrimps’ sweetness while balancing out the saltiness from soy sauce.
Din Tai Fung Steamed Shrimp & Pork Dumplings

A steamed dumpling is a traditional Chinese food that consists of dough wrapped around a filling. In this case, the filling is a mixture of shrimp and pork. The dumplings are then steamed to cook them and make them tender.
This dish tastes delicious. The shrimp and pork are flavorful on their own, but when mixed together they create an even more complex flavor profile—a perfect combination of sweet, salty, savory, and umami flavors. The texture of the wrapper is light and fluffy while still being sturdy enough to hold its shape when eaten. The filling is juicy with just enough sauce to keep it moist without becoming soggy or falling out of the dumpling during eating.
Din Tai Fung Signature Dishes

Din Tai Fung is one of the most popular restaurants in the world. One reason for this is the many delicious signature dishes available at Din Tai Fung.
Here are some of the famous dishes that are well loved by the customers:
Din Tai Fung Xiao Long Bao

Din Tai Fung, a famous restaurant from Taiwan, has finally arrived in Singapore. The unique feature of this restaurant is their Xiao Long Bao (also known as Chinese dumplings).
The skin of the dumpling was very thin and made from wheat flour with only a small amount of starch. A small hole was made at the top part of the dumpling, so you could taste the soup inside i

The soup was blended with pork, crab fat, and Chinese herbs, and the taste was very aromatic but slightly spicy. People prefer their minced pork, Xiao Long Bao. It was very crispy and light, but the minced pork inside was quite oily.
Din Tai Fung Fried Rice with Pork Chop

This Din Tai Fung fried rice with pork chop is an authentic version of the famous restaurant’s dish. The fried rice is savory despite being made without meat or seafood. The pork chop is caramelized, savory, and literally melts in your mouth. It is so tender that it grinds easily with the rice.

Din Tai Fung does a fantastic job of preparing their signature dish, in which each ingredient is perfectly diced, fried, and seasoned. Although it is on the expensive side, it’s worth it!
Din Tai Fung Special Braised Beef Noodle Soup with Beef

The Din Tai Fung Special Braised Beef Noodle Soup with Beef is a dish that is quite famous in Singapore and will leave you wanting more. The special soup has a rich taste of beef and a strong herbal flavor without overpowering the delicate noodles.

It is inspired by the broth used in traditional Chinese medicine. The noodles are cooked to a rich, firm texture and are not greasy at all. The soup has a sweet, slightly smoky aroma and is clear with a nutty taste. Ordering this dish is sure to warm your heart!

About Din Tai Fung
Din Tai Fung Restaurant was founded by Yang Bingyi, he worked more than ten years in cooking oil retailer in Taiwan. Later he decided to open their own store to support his family. Later in 1958, with his wife he opened a cooking oil store. They named their store Din Tai Fung, by the combination of the names of Yang’s (previous employer) and new supplier (DinMei Oils).
About 1970, tinned cooking oil became popular and their business decreased dramatically. In Front of all of these situations, the owner of Din Tai Fung decided to convert half of the shop to make and serve steamed buns. Their Bun selling shop grew so fast that, in 1972, they stop oil selling services and became a full-fledged restaurant.

In 1996, they opened their first international restaurant in Tokyo, late in 2000 they opened their first North American store in Arcadia, California. Their first European branch was opened in London, in 2018. Due to COVID-19 there first North American Restaurant permanently close on January 11, 2020.
