While I love to review food, I love to monitor food prices. Given how inflated food costs are, I still enjoy the happiness of eating. Besides writing for Cafehopping, I do blog about fun places to head to @SGDIRECTORY.

Mackenzie Rex Restaurant Best Seller Menu
The best sellers at Mackenzie Rex Restaurant are the ones that have remained on the menu for years—the ones that customers keep coming back to, again and again. Because they’re not just good, they’re great.
These are their best sellers:
Mackenzie Rex Restaurant Ngor Hiang

Ngor Hiang is a Chinese dish made from minced pork and prawns, along with other ingredients such as garlic and chili. It is often served with steamed buns and rice noodles. The dish originated in Shanghai and is named after its creator, who was from the Ngor Clan.
Mackenzie Rex Restaurant signature dish, ngor hiang (a pork dish served with a variety of vegetables), is absolutely delicious, and it’s perfect for sharing. The meat itself is tender and flavorful, and the vegetables are cooked to perfection—not too soft or too crunchy. And when you pair that with the thick broth that comes with it? You’ve got yourself one heck of a dish!
Mackenzie Rex Restaurant Drumstick with Rice

The Drumstick with Rice is a delicious, moist chicken thigh that’s served with a side of rice. The dish has a distinct taste which may be described as “piquant.” The chicken is marinated in spices and sauces before being cooked, giving it a distinct flavor that goes well with the rice or bread.
This dish is the perfect meal for people who want to eat something filling but not heavy, or for those who prefer not to eat meat. It’s also great for anyone looking to try something new!
Furthermore, the drumsticks were tender and juicy, and the rice was fluffy and delicious. The best part was that the chicken was so juicy it practically melted in my mouth—and I knew exactly how it got that way: it was cooked for a long time at low heat so the meat could absorb all of the flavor from the spices!
If you’re looking for something that will give you comfort food with a twist, this dish is for you.
Mackenzie Rex Restaurant Beef Noodles with Gravy

Beef Noodles with Gravy is the best comfort food I’ve ever had. I’ve had it in a lot of different places, but nothing compares to the flavor and consistency of the noodles here. I don’t know what they do with their gravy, but it’s just perfect and there’s just enough sauce to give it a little bit of extra flavor without making it too salty or saucy.
The noodles are just right, not too soft or too hard, with a hint of chewiness that makes me want to eat them forever. The gravy is rich and savory and salty—just what you need when you’re feeling down in the dumps! It’s got just enough spice to keep you interested without overwhelming your palate with heat. And the beef… oh my gosh! The beef is so tender and juicy that I don’t even know how to describe it other than “perfection.”
If you’re looking for a food that you can go back to time and time again—and never get sick of—this is definitely the dish for you!
Mackenzie Rex Restaurant Mixed Vegetables with Seafood

Mixed Vegetables with Seafood is a delicious and healthy way to enjoy a delicious meal. The dish consists of mixed vegetables, shrimp, scallops and squid cooked in a light sauce. The sauce is made from soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic, ginger and other spices. It can be eaten on its own or with rice. If you like seafood then this dish will not disappoint you. It is also a good option if you are looking for something different from your usual meal choices.
I love their crisp texture and the way they crunch in my mouth, like a little burst of sunshine. But sometimes vegetables can be a little bland. So when I tried Mackenzie’s Mixed Vegetables with Seafood, I was pleasantly surprised by how much flavor they packed into every bite.
The vegetables were perfectly cooked so that they still retained their crunch, but still had enough softness to make them alluringly soft. The seafood—shrimp and squid—was cooked to perfection: tender and juicy with just the right amount of chewiness to it. And the sauce… oh my goodness! It was rich and creamy without being too heavy on the stomach. All in all, this dish is definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for something healthy but filling at the same time!
Mackenzie Rex Restaurant Sweet Sour Fish Slices

I ordered the Sweet Sour Fish Slices, which was a deep-fried piece of fish covered in a sweet and sour sauce. The fish was very tender and flaky, and it had an excellent crunchy exterior. This is the best fish I’ve ever eaten. The sauce is sweet and tangy, but not too sour. I love the texture of the fish, too—it’s kind of chewy and crunchy at the same time. I’m not sure how they do it, but they make it taste like there are more than just two ingredients in the sauce.
The sweet and sour sauce complemented the flavor of the fish very well, but it was not overly sweet or sour. This dish was quite filling, so I would recommend ordering it as part of an appetizer or sharing it with a friend if you plan to order an entree as well.
