While I love to review food, I love to monitor food prices. Given how inflated food costs are, I still enjoy the happiness of eating. Besides writing for Cafehopping, I do blog about fun places to head to @SGDIRECTORY.

Läderach Chocolatier Suisse Best Seller
Läderach Chocolatier has been a household name in the world of chocolate for over a century. The company was founded in Switzerland, but it now has locations all over the world.
In this section, we’ll be looking at the top 5 best sellers from Läderach Chocolatier. We’ll look at what makes each one so special and why you should try them out!
Läderach Chocolatier Suisse FrischSchoggi™

FrischSchoggi™ is an excellent chocolate bar. It is the perfect combination of dark chocolate and hazelnut, which makes the taste of FrischSchoggi™ absolutely amazing.
FrischSchoggi™ is a chocolate brand that specializes in handmade, single-origin chocolates. They use only the best cacao beans from around the world to create their products. Each of these cacao beans has its own unique flavor and texture, so FrischSchoggi™ uses all of them to create their chocolate bars. Each bar is made up of several different types of chocolate, which lets you experience the many different tastes that chocolate can have.
The texture of this chocolate bar is smooth and creamy, which makes it very enjoyable to eat. The taste of FrischSchoggi™ is also very rich, so you will not need to eat more than one piece at a time. This makes it a great snack for those who want something that is high in calories but low in sugar.
Läderach Chocolatier Suisse Pralines & Truffles

The Pralines & Truffles Assorted Gift Box is a great way to try out some of their best products.
The box includes a variety of different flavors, which is helpful for anyone who hasn’t tried pralines and truffles before. It also contains an assortment of different sizes and shapes, so you can try out both large and small pieces.
I was able to try all the flavors in this box and I enjoyed each one! My favorite was the White Chocolate Peanut Butter Praline, but I also really liked the Strawberry Cream Truffle. The other flavors were good too – they were all very tasty and rich!

This gift box would be perfect for someone who is new to pralines and truffles because there are so many options included in one package. It’s also great if you want to give someone a thoughtful gift without having to worry about picking out the right size or flavor because it comes with an assortment of everything!
Läderach Chocolatier Suisse Macadamia Milk FrischSchoggi

This is a chocolate bar that I would describe as “healthy” but also “delicious.” It’s made with macadamia nuts, which are high in healthy fats, and it has only 3 grams of sugar. That being said, it’s still sweet enough to satisfy my sweet tooth without making me feel like I’m eating dessert. The texture is smooth and creamy—I’d say it’s somewhere between milk chocolate and dark chocolate.
The flavor is mild but delicious, with hints of caramel and vanilla. You can taste the macadamia nuts, but they’re subtle enough not to overpower the rest of the bar. With a creamy texture and a hint of nuttiness in the middle, this chocolate bar is one of the best I’ve had. It’s just salty enough to give it some depth without being overwhelming, and the caramel coating on top is just right—not too thick or too thin. The milkiness of this bar really comes through, but it doesn’t overpower the chocolate flavor. The whole thing is just perfect!

Overall, I really liked this bar and would recommend it if you’re looking for something healthy-ish with just enough sweetness to make it satisfying.
Läderach Chocolatier Suisse Cashew Cranberry Dark FrischSchoggi

This is the first time we’ve tried this kind of Schoggi, and it’s not what we’re used to.
It’s a dark Schoggi, which means it’s got more cocoa and less milk than the lighter versions. It’s also got cashews and cranberries in it, which is really unexpected! The cranberries are mild enough to blend into the flavor of the rest of the chocolate without taking over, but they add a nice tartness that gives an edge to the sweet chocolate.
The cashews are also mild and subtle in terms of flavor—but they do add a nice crunch. They’re also great for texture because they’re not overly smooth like most other Schoggis. This is a pretty good Schoggi. It’s not our favorite, but it’s definitely worth trying if you like dark chocolates or want to try something different from what you usually get at the store.
The flavor is rich and smooth, with a delicious tartness from the cranberries that adds an extra kick. The cashews are crunchy and add an interesting texture to the mix. All in all, this is a great choice for anyone who likes dark chocolate but wants something different than plain old cocoa.
Läderach Chocolatier Suisse Raspberry FrischSchoggi

The first thing that struck me about this chocolate is the smell. It’s fruity, but not like the artificial fruit smells you get from some fruit-flavored candies. It’s more natural—like raspberries that have been allowed to ripen on a tree in the sun, then picked and crushed and smooshed into chocolate for your enjoyment.
The next thing I noticed about this chocolate was how smooth it was. The raspberry flavor just melts in your mouth, with no resistance whatsoever. You can chew it up or down it whole; either way, it’s delicious!

Finally, there’s a tiny bit of crunchiness at the end of every bite that adds an extra dimension to an already complex experience. The crunchiness helps you feel like you’re eating something real: something made from natural ingredients by hand with love and care rather than mass-produced by machines in some factory far away from where it will be consumed by humans who will never even meet their makers (or at least not until after they’ve eaten all their chocolates).
About Läderach Chocolatier Suisse
The history of Läderach Chocolatier Suisse began in 1962 with the founding of the company by Rudolf Läderach, a chocolatier from Glarus, Switzerland. In 1970, he patented a revolutionary concept for producing thin walled truffles in hollow spheres, which is still used today.
In 1981, the first store was opened in Glarus. This marked the beginning of a new phase for Läderach: exporting chocolate beyond Switzerland’s borders. In 1994, Rudolf Läderach passed on the torch to his son Jurg Läderach. Four years later, Merkur Confiserien AG—a chain of confectionery stores—was purchased and integrated into Läderach operations as well as FrischSchoggi (Fresh Chocolate).
In 2004, Johannes and Elias Läderach joined their father’s business after completing their apprenticeships at various companies across Switzerland and abroad. The next year marked a new brand identity for the company: “Läderach – chocolatier suisse.”
In 2008 and 2011 respectively, Johannes and Elias took over as CEO of their family business while continuing to manage production and innovation at Ennenda site as well as overseeing chocolate. In 2012 they started cocoa mass production at Bilten site near Zurich with a capacity for 100 tons per year. In 2012 they also launched a new shop-concept to remodel all former Merkur shops into Läderach shops. The original FrischSchoggi celebrates its 10-year anniversary!
In 2016 Johannes became CEO of the group while Elias took responsibility for production and innovation. Today, Läderach Chocolatier Suisse produces over 400 different varieties of chocolate bars and other sweets.
