While I love to review food, I love to monitor food prices. Given how inflated food costs are, I still enjoy the happiness of eating. Besides writing for Cafehopping, I do blog about fun places to head to @SGDIRECTORY.

Ah Chew Desserts Best Seller
Ah Chew Desserts is a local dessert shop with a variety of menu items that are reliable and delicious. They have become one of the most popular dessert shops in the area, known for their unique combinations and flavors.
In this section, we will be looking at the top 5 best sellers from Ah Chew Desserts. These desserts are famous for their taste and mouth watering appearance.
Ah Chew Desserts Mango Sago

If you’re looking for a dessert that’s light and refreshing, look no further than the mango sago. This dish is made from sweetened mangoes, condensed milk, and tapioca pearls—and it’s delicious!
Mango sago is made from a combination of coconut milk and mango pulp, which gives it its creamy texture. The flavor is sweet but not overpowering, so you can enjoy every bite of this delicious dessert without feeling like you’ve just eaten an entire pie by yourself. The sago pearls are chewy and soft, but also have a nice bite to them—they’re not so soft that they lose their shape in your mouth. The mangoes and sago are perfectly mixed together without any artificial flavors or colors. The taste is so perfect that you cannot stop eating it once you start eating it.

The next time you’re in the mood for something sweet, give mango sago a try. It’s a light and refreshing dessert that will have you coming back for more.
Ah Chew Desserts Mango Sago with Pomelo

This dessert is a must-try for anyone who loves mangoes and pomelos. The combination of these two fruits is just so perfect, and the coldness of the sago makes this dessert even more refreshing.
Mango sago is a traditional Southeast Asian dessert made with tapioca pearls and sweetened coconut milk. The addition of pomelo gives this dish a refreshing twist on the classic dessert.
It was refreshing and light, but it also had a fun, tropical vibe that reminded me of summer days at the beach. The fresh mango slices were sweet and juicy while the cold sago added a nice contrast to the fruit’s natural sweetness. The pomelo was tart and tangy, which complemented the sweetness of the mango perfectly. The overall flavor profile of this dish was very well balanced, with one flavor not overpowering another—it’s a well-rounded dessert.

Furthermore, the texture is like a cross between jello and mousse. The sweetened coconut milk adds some creaminess while the pomelo adds a slight citrus flavor that is balanced well by the sweetness of the coconut milk. The tapioca pearls add some chewiness and texture to this otherwise smooth dessert.
We highly recommend it for anyone who loves mangoes or just wants something refreshing and cooling on a hot day!
Ah Chew Desserts Favorite Durian Sago

If you’re looking for a dessert that’s both sweet and savory, look no further than durian sago. The combination of sago and durian is what makes this dessert so unique. The sago is soft, while the durian has a slightly bitter taste.
The texture of the sago is very soft, but it doesn’t feel like it’s going to disintegrate in your mouth like some other desserts do. The flavor is also unique—it tastes like a cross between vanilla and coconut, which makes it perfect for those who aren’t fans of overly sweet desserts.

The Durian Sago at Ah Chew Desserts is a stew of sago pearls and sweetened durian fruit. It’s served in a beautiful bowl, with the sago pearls floating in the liquid and bursting out of their shells when you poke them with your spoon. The taste is incredible—the sweetness of the fruit mixed with the nutty flavor of the sago makes for a complex, satisfying flavor combination.
If you’re looking for something new and different, then I highly recommend giving durian sago a try!
Ah Chew Desserts Black Glutinous Rice

The black glutinous rice dessert is a great option for those looking for something warm and comforting. It’s served in a large bowl with hot, sweet gooey rice balls, and it’s available in both large and small sizes.
The rice balls are soft and chewy, and they soak up the sweet syrup from the hot black glutinous rice. The flavor of this dessert is a mix of savory and sweet—not too much of either one—and it’s best enjoyed when eaten as soon as it arrives at your table.

The dessert itself was fantastic—the perfect mixture of ingredients with just enough sweetness to make your taste buds tingle without being overpowering or sickeningly sweet like so many other desserts tend to be these days. It was also easy to eat because there were no little pieces or parts that fell off during consumption (which is always nice when you’re trying not to choke on something).
If you have time to wait before eating this dessert, it tastes even better when served cold, but we recommend eating it right away if possible!
Ah Chew Desserts Rice Ball Mochi

Rice Ball Mochi is an amazing dessert that keeps you wanting more. It’s a traditional Japanese dessert that has been around for hundreds of years, and it’s still one of the most popular desserts today.
This dessert is the perfect mix of sweet, chewy, and crispy. The rice balls are coated with a crunchy layer of brown sugar and sesame seeds that make them taste like a cross between an ice cream cone and a dumpling.

The chewy mochi rounds are filled with sweet red bean paste—the perfect balance of savory and sweet! This dessert is delicious on its own, but if you’re feeling adventurous, pair it with some coconut milk ice cream (or plain old vanilla) and enjoy something more than just delicious: you’ll have created an entirely new flavor experience!
The texture of the rice ball mochi is soft and chewy, almost like a gummy bear. They’re delicious on their own—and even better when paired with some fruit! Try them out today!
Ah Chew Desserts Black Sesame Paste with Rice Ball Mochi

Black sesame paste, or shiro-goma, is a traditional Japanese dessert made with black sesame seeds and sweetened red bean paste. The black sesame paste is usually served with rice balls called mochi, which are made by kneading sticky rice flour into a ball and then steaming it.
In case you haven’t guessed already, this dessert is quite sweet. It’s sweet because the black sesame paste has been boiled in soy milk to reduce its bitterness and then added to the red bean paste, which is also usually boiled with sugar. The result is a thick, dense paste that tastes like dark chocolate but has a slight nutty flavor from the sesame seeds.

The rice balls are also quite sweet—they’re made from sticky rice flour, so they’re naturally very chewy and soft but also have a somewhat grainy texture from the small bits of flour that don’t get completely cooked by the heat of boiling water (which makes them stick together).
I highly recommend trying this dessert if you like sweets! The combination of flavors is really unique—the black sesame paste has an earthy flavor that contrasts nicely with the sweet red bean paste.
About Ah Chew Desserts
Ah Chew Desserts is a Singaporean dessert shop that started out as a humble operation in a half-shop space at #01-11 Liang Seah Street.
But what started as a small dream has now become the sweetest thing in Singapore!
The founder, Ah Chew, has always been fascinated by old Chinese arts and crafts and its heritage. So when he opened his own business, he wanted everything about his establishment to reflect that heritage. All of the wooden furniture in his shop was sourced from China; even the lanterns were imported from there! The Chinese handicrafts on display are from his personal collections—you won’t find anything like them anywhere else in Singapore.
Ah Chew Desserts has grown steadily over the years, expanding from one half of a shop space into an entire store with more seating for customers and more tables for those who want to enjoy their desserts at home instead of taking them out. But no matter where you go, Ah Chew Desserts will always offer high-quality desserts made with only the best ingredients available so that you can enjoy every bite of your favorite treat without worrying about what you’re putting into your body!
