While I love to review food, I love to monitor food prices. Given how inflated food costs are, I still enjoy the happiness of eating. Besides writing for Cafehopping, I do blog about fun places to head to @SGDIRECTORY.

Simply Bread Singapore Best Seller
Simply Bread Singapore is a multi-award winning bakery with a long history of making the best breads. Over the years, we have worked hard to earn our customers’ trust and loyalty. We believe that good bread is made with fresh ingredients, good technique, and love.
We’ve spent the last few months tasting, testing, and sifting through all of our products to bring you a list of the most popular items in our store. These are items that we know you’ll love—and that your friends and family will love too!
So without further ado… here are their top 5 best sellers:
Simply Bread Roast Chicken Sandwich

I’m a huge fan of roast chicken. It’s the kind of thing that, when it’s done right, you can’t help but sigh at the sight of its golden brown skin and crispy edges. And that’s exactly what this sandwich has—roast chicken!
The sandwich is served with lettuce and tomato—which I appreciate, because it gives the sandwich some freshness without making it seem like an afterthought. The lettuce is also nice in that it doesn’t make the sandwich too light or mushy; instead, it adds a crunchy element that I really like. The tomato adds a little bit of acidity that helps cut through the richness of the roast chicken and cheese, making it a great option for lunch or dinner!
This is the perfect sandwich for a day when you’re feeling like you need something easy to eat, but you don’t want to settle for just a standard grilled cheese. Overall, this is a great roast chicken sandwich!
Simply Bread Ham & Cheese Melt Sandwich

The Ham & Cheese Melt Sandwich is a classic. It’s the kind of sandwich you think about when you hear “sandwich.”
But this one takes that classic idea and elevates it to new heights. This sandwich was just the right balance of ham, cheese and mustard. The bread was soft enough to soak up the juices from the melted cheese without getting soggy, but sturdy enough to hold up under the weight of the meat and condiments. And you know what else? It was hot when it arrived at my table. That’s something that can never be understated: keeping your customers happy by serving them piping-hot food!

This is a great choice for those who are looking for something simple but satisfying. It’s not going to knock your socks off with innovation or creativity—but it doesn’t need to! Sometimes all you want is something familiar done really well—and this sandwich delivers on both fronts.
Simply Bread Chicken Salad Sandwich

The chicken salad sandwich is one of my favorite sandwiches. It’s a combination of chicken, mayonnaise and veggies all piled on a roll. It’s the perfect combination of savory and fresh!
The chicken salad is made with poached chicken breast, seasoned mayonnaise, lettuce and tomato. The chicken is cooked in a flavorful broth that makes it tender and juicy while still maintaining its natural flavor. The mayonnaise adds creaminess to the sandwich without overpowering the other ingredients. The lettuce adds crunch while the tomato adds acidity which balances out the flavors of this delicious sandwich.

I would recommend this sandwich if you’re looking for something that feels light but still packs a lot of flavor.
Simply Bread Ham Steak with Omelette

I’m a huge fan of omelets, and I also love ham. When I saw this dish on the menu, it seemed like it was meant to be. The description sounded delicious: thick, meaty slices of ham lightly glazed with honey. It comes with toast, jam & butter.
I ordered one for breakfast and was not disappointed at all—the ham was delicious! It was so tender and flavorful that eating it made me feel like I was sitting in an old-fashioned English pub. The omelet itself had just enough eggs to make it fluffy without being too heavy or filling. The bread was warm but not too crunchy or stale—it had a nice balance between softness and chewiness that made me want more!

This is definitely one of my favorite breakfast options at Simply Bread. If you’re looking for something that’s light yet satisfying, this is definitely worth trying!
Simply Bread Sticky Bun

I love the ooey-gooey, sweet cinnamon glaze that just permeates into every morsel of the soft, moist, and chewy dough between the layers. The first time I tried this particular sticky bun, I was blown away by how delicious it was. The glaze brings out all of the best flavors in the dough, and you can’t help but want to take another bite.

The dough itself is wonderful too—soft and chewy without being gummy or overdone. It’s filled with cinnamon goodness between every layer and tastes like it came straight out of grandma’s kitchen (if she were an accomplished baker). This is definitely one treat you’ll want to try if you haven’t already!
About Simply Bread
Christine Fam had wanted to have her own bakery since she was a young child. She enjoyed baking with her mother, and when she left Singapore to study hotel management in Switzerland, she missed the straightforward cuisine of her native country.
Chris left for school and came back to Singapore with a love for straightforward, uncomplicated food and an appreciation for high-quality ingredients. She started making bread for herself, but she soon realized the quality wasn’t up to par. Chris then took the typical entrepreneurial course of action and rented a tiny facility on Sixth Avenue to launch Simply Bread.
The initial focus of Simply Bread was solely Chris’ personal preferences and style. Today’s ingredients are the same as those Chris used to bake for herself. She used to order a modest quantity directly from the source of various seeds and whole grains from all over the world. Now, Chris herself must first approve all ingredients before the Simply Bread procurement team purchases them straight from their supplier.
